It's a little disturbing, for a second, how unphased this man is by what he's seen. Every person that has seen her powers has reacted poorly. That is not to say that she doesn't deserve the discomfort her powers seem to inspire. If she'd ever had practice using it, maybe she wouldn't feel such shame and terror when she does. She's lucky the showdown at Sissy's farm went the way it did. When they'd tried it a month earlier, the moon hadn't been so lucky.
