"When you were younger no one offered to help you?" Obi-Wan asks, his brows drawing together with concern. While the Jedi never take Force sensitive children against the will of their parents, they always offer them a place to be safe. A place they can train and begin to better understand their abilities, a place where there are others like them, where they can find camaraderie rather than confusion or even fear from people who aren't like them.

"My manners seem to have abandoned me," he continues with a small smile, then drops the stone and instead steps forward and offers his hand. "My name is Obi-Wan."

She seems cautious and he doesn't blame her, especially if she's never had any sort of guidance when it comes to her abilities, her talents. Such things can be frightening, he's seen plenty of younglings alarmed by their own abilities before learning how to control them.
