That surprises Obi-Wan, although maybe it shouldn't, given what he knows about their father. It makes him think of some of the Jedi teachings, the things they're told as younglings and Padawan, how to let go of their negative emotions, to make sure they're not controlled by those feelings. Eight months in Darrow, eight months of daily meditation, and he's still coming to terms with what that means for everything he's been told for the entirety of his life.
"Do you want to walk back into the city?" he asks, noticing the way she squints into the sun. "We could get some coffee. And I would be curious to know more, if you're willing to tell me."
He's under no illusions about himself in Darrow. While the Force still very much exists here and while he and Anakin, as well as Rey and Ben, are capable of manipulating it to their whims, there is no Jedi Order. No one for him to teach. He is, essentially, a Jedi in name only, without purpose, without a Padawan, without a station.
But if he can help even one person, he would very much like to do so.
