Although Obi-Wan is listening to Vanya's words, he can sense the shift in energy even before she stops walking and he stops, too, watching as the wind swirls around them. The Force around them changes, seems to vibrate with whatever energy she's beginning to put out, and for a moment Obi-Wan can just stand there, utterly fascinated by it.
He realizes a moment too late that Vanya expects that he'll be frightened. Her eyes open, white once more, and a particularly strong blast of wind whips around them both. Neither of them rock with it, the wind not quite touching them and he feels the sensation she has of being the eye of the storm, then he feels how terrified she is, the fear that infuses every moment of what's happening around them.
"Vanya," he says, his voice gentle. He lifts one hand and lays it gently upon her shoulder, using the Force to extend his calm toward her, like a warm blanket being placed gently upon her shoulders. Unless she becomes a true danger, he feels no need to use the Force on her to implant a suggestion, especially not with what she's just told him, and so for now he simply shares his calm with her. "You're safe. You're safe here."
